The Gardens

THE GARDENS WAS JUST A FOOTPATH TO SIX COTTAGES AND THE RECTORY
***

In the late 1940s the road now known as The Gardens did not exist the drive only went to The Old Rectory the only access to the cottages was by foot from the Avenue or the then footpath from the Lodge.

The ground bounded by The Gardens and Church Road until the mid 1950s was allotments  for the use of the villagers and the Tythe Barn was a barn not a house.
