The photos and text below show the progress of the playground from an unused part of the field to what is hopefully to be a focal point for the village as a whole as well as a play area for the children.

The two photographs below show a horse drawn cart the first photo shows it being used to transport the May Queen around the village in 1931.
 
The May Queen for that year was Miss Marion Willets who lived in the gardeners house at the time.
 
The second photo shows the same cart now on display at the playground site for all to see.
